Our Story

Butter-like Skin started because my skin is, quite frankly, a little dramatic.

Sensitive, reactive, eczema prone, sun reactive. The kind of skin that can love a product on Monday and act personally offended by it on Tuesday.

Over time, I got very used to reading ingredient lists, second guessing new products, and having those days where my skin felt so irritated that even putting on moisturizer sounded exhausting.

Because when your skin is already angry, the last thing you want to do is stand there rubbing and rubbing another cream into it.

And one day I thought...

Why can't I just mist something on?

That was the beginning of Butter Puff.

I wanted something that felt easy. Something lightweight and comforting that I could reach for when my skin was having one of those days. No complicated ritual. No ten step routine. No convincing myself that maybe the tingling means it's working.

Just skincare that feels like care.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted to build something bigger around that idea.

Because sensitive skin can make beauty feel weirdly complicated.

You hear that something is “gentle” and immediately think, gentle for who?

You see a beautiful new launch and, instead of getting excited, you’re mentally scanning the ingredient list before it even reaches your cart.

I’ve been that person.

I am that person.

And Butter-like Skin is being built for us.

For the people with sensitive, reactive and unpredictable skin who still want skincare to feel beautiful, fun and luxurious.

Because having sensitive skin shouldn’t mean your only options have to look like they came from the bottom shelf of a pharmacy in 2007.

Our first product is Butter Puff, a fine skincare mist inspired by the days when my skin wants comfort but would also very much like me to stop touching it.

We’re taking our time creating it. We’re questioning ingredients, testing ideas, learning as we go, and trying to make something I would genuinely want sitting beside me on my own worst skin days.

And this is only the beginning.

Butter-like Skin isn’t about chasing flawless skin.

I have no idea what flawless skin is doing, but good for her.

We’re here for real skin.

Sensitive skin. Moody skin. Dry skin. Reactive skin. Skin that’s having a great week and skin that woke up choosing violence.

Most of all, we’re here for that simple feeling of wanting your skin to feel comfortable again.
